By that time personal biometric health sensors are widely in use and culturally accepted. This data is fed to HEI growth system. Feeding personal biometric health sensor data to closed-circulation plant growth system, the personal well being is directly controlling the plants well-being – if the person feels bad, the plant gets less water & light and topples, if health improves, the plant flourishes. To use pots as discreet and unobtrusive communication devices, instead of keeping your plant your self, give it to a loved-one, and get his or hers in return. Connecting pots to the net, your loved-ones well-being can be seen from the plant. By nurturing the plant, this act of care is communicated to the other pot.
Project is done in collaboration with Kristian Aarseth as a part of the international design contest beam me up scotty hosted by +studio in Helsinki.
